I walked into great clips on Nolan Road in Independence around 1 oclock 130 Friday. My hair was down to my collar and the woman Sherri, who proceeded to spray my hair down who is telling me about she had 30 years experience as a hair cutter and then she start talking about the holidays and her family and how they were problems, next thing, I know the woman is cutting my hair turns my head or my whole body away from the mirror and she proceeds to cut my hair and she reads a little note the great clips has for every haircut in person.
Its a note on what size clips to use when youre cutting hair she said five and seven right I said yeah and I said theres a brand between five and seven with hand scissors, and she says OK I know next thing I know shes pushing the clippers so hard that the guard is catching my scalp. She was very rough so I stopped her and turned towards the mirror and she had cut almost all my hair off then telling me she was sorry she never did this before and she didnt understand the note that she had to cut my hair. Then she proceeded to tell me that she just started with great clips and had only been there a couple of months and did not understand the note and I have been going to great clips for about 15 to 20 years so I told her to stop what she was doing and I asked for the manager I believe her name was Cindy and oh she is the assistant manager.
She looked at my hair and I said look she has cut all my hair off and theres patches all over my head and Cindy said yes let me see what I can do about it then the assistant manager Cindy said its too short there is too much I can do about it but she said she would give me two free haircuts. I just wanted to leave because I was so mad that she cut all my hair off and I have before and after pictures, I would appreciate if someone to contact me ASAP

On Da recent visit to one of your locations on 1/9/2023, of which I have a receipt for, I was informed repeatedly by an agent in the store in person that no one can receive a haircut from Great Clips without providing all of the following information: First name, Last name, Phone number, Home address.
If this is true, it is absurd and I will never again return to your location, but will always ensure that reviews about this continue to be spread far and wide.
If this is not true, then it is a misrepresentation by an agent of the Company, and thus constitutes Fraud in court.
Another agent at your Customer service line: 800-473-**** informed me that the original agent gave "misinformation".
In addition, by providing this very personal identifying and sensitive information of men and women, etc. that enter the location, of which I was a witness of several, it exposes them to great risk of harassment, fraud, identity theft, stalking, etc. by others that can easily overhear the info.
Who thought of this system?
This is going on many times per day on a daily basis.

I went into Great Clips for a trim. They cut over six inches off of my hair.
Stylist started haircut at the crown and cut off overfour inches. I want watching and before I knew it she had cut the top of my hair from at least 8 inches maybe longer, to three inches!!!
I came in with long layers. And the back of my hair was at least 16 inches long.
I was seeing what was going on and asked het to stop immediately! I told the stylist that I wanted to see a manager.
She got the manager and she finished the cut.
In order to try to correct stylist number ones cut, the manager (?) Then HAS to cut the length off in order for me not to walk out with a mullet.
So the top was cut to three inches and the back to five inches.
I was livid!!!
Fine, I go home and look at my hair, and I have a huge hole right of center crown. And another under my right ear.
I had to go to a "salon" to have this debacle corrected.
This stylist can not "fill" or replace hair that's already been cut off, so she tried to even out the cut the best she could, but the holes in the cut are noticeable!!!
Nothing I can do at this point but wear caps until my hair grows back.
This cut cost me $57.00!!
I then went back to Great Clips to speak to the management and was told I would have to wait as the manager (same gal that tried to correct stylist number ones cut) was cutting another's hair. Fine. I'll wait.
As soon as she saw me she knew why I was there.
She purposely took her time, a d stopped cutting and chatted with customer for over 25 minutes.
I got up and walked out.
I find this to be extremely poor customer service and I would like to be re embursed for the cost of the correction.$47.00.
Note: I had colored my hair prior to going into have it cut. You will see this in pics.

User's recommendation: Do not go to Great Clips. The stylists are not educated enough to trim my nails, little less my hair. I will NEVER step foot in another Great Clips and would not recommend them to even my worst enemy.

You need to have someone explain fraud to you.
When it comes to proving intent for fraud, courts often look at what the liar could gain if someone believes the lie. If the liar benefits from someone believing and acting on the lie, that tends to show intent.
Since the response from the company admits that the representative made a misrepresentation, and this happens all over their locations everyday, then the entire company and all of its franchises are guilty. In addition to being guilty of Fraud, they also are putting the identity and safety of their customers at risk everyday wherever they have locations.
