Great Clips - Online check-in stupid idea
Went to Great Clips at lunch. Both stylists had customers and on one else there.
Checked it. waited about 10 mins as first customer almost done in walks on-line check-in customer - and they seated him immediately - before me. I am PISSED. The on-line check-in is a worthless, no-value-added, stupid idea.
WTF about first come first serve? I've been going to this same Great Clips for years as it's close to work and I can usually get a haircut during my lunch break, if I'm not busy with something else urgent at work. If so, work comes first and I take my break when the work task is done. How the *** is on-line check-in supposed to work if you are not sure in advance when you can go?????
Anyhow, if I can find another haircut place I can get to during lunch I'm switching. If not, there is one near my house and I'll go there from now on.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Itโs whoever checks in first is seen first. He checked in before you did wether it was in the store or not.
Your actually the perfect customer to use online check in. Since you donโt want to wait then check in while your home do whatever you need to do and then go in and it wonโt be a long wait. I love it because Iโm a mom of two and I work more than full time so I literally have to be in and out.
I can check in while Iโm leaving work. Itโs the same thing as going in signing in then going next door or whatever
Not impressed with GC in Fla. The online checkin is disrepectuful to customers already waiting.
Extremely rude to seniors, who may not have the means for online anything. Another example of pitiful service in the USA.
This has to be the dumbest idea a business ever hatched. I too had this happen to me recently at one of their locations and left asking myself "who would just stay after having witnessed this and having this experiance".
I left and I am glad that I am not the only one, I can't imagine how much business they lose because of this, just an example of technology gone stupid, I mean who would think it right that one who is waiting at the business should not get seen first ahead of someone who just walked in after "checking in" online.
Later I thought that not only is it a flawed business practice but also that anyone who even uses this online checkin is just a tool by nature, I personally would not feel right or proper to walk into a place and get service ahead of people I can clearly see have been waiting ahead of me there at the location.
Agree!
